Kumar Arora Named to Crain’s Cleveland Business 40 Under 40 Class of 2024

Kumar Arora, entrepreneur, investor, and innovator, has been named to the 2024 Crain’s Cleveland Business 40 Under 40 class. For over 30 years, Crain’s Cleveland Business has celebrated its annual “40 Under 40” program, honoring outstanding professionals shaping the future of Northeast Ohio.

This year’s honorees span diverse industries, including technology, real estate, law, nonprofits, and the arts, all recognized for their significant contributions to their fields and communities. To earn a place in the “40 Under 40,” nominees must showcase exceptional professional achievements and impactful community involvement.

“Kumar’s visionary leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to Cleveland’s growth and innovation ecosystem make him an exemplary honoree for this year’s class,” said Fabio Salerno, CEO of Salerno Group and business partner.

As the founder of multiple successful ventures, including the creative agency Underdogs and the apparel brand ILTHY®, Kumar has consistently demonstrated his ability to merge creativity and strategy across industries. His portfolio spans real estate, technology, CPG, and apparel, with each initiative aiming to uplift local communities and drive meaningful change.

Kumar’s commitment to community extends beyond his business ventures. More recently, through his “For Art’s Sake” project, supported by the Transformative Arts Fund, Kumar has organized cultural activations that amplify the voices of Cleveland’s creative community. Additionally, Kumar collaborates with local organizations to foster innovation, including initiatives like FutureLAND and projects that merge tech, art, and economic development.

Kumar’s leadership has also been instrumental in partnerships with global brands, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Browns, and Guardians, and organizations like the LeBron James Family Foundation and Nike. His work consistently highlights Cleveland’s potential as a hub for creativity and innovation.

Kumar is an active supporter of mentorship and education, frequently engaging with emerging entrepreneurs and creatives to share insights and provide guidance. He also serves as an advisor for various nonprofit and business initiatives.
